Wendell Berry (b. 1934) is an award-winning novelist, essayist, poet, and activist. He lives in rural Kentucky on the farm he and his wife purchased in 1965. Berry is perhaps most widely known for his fiction novels and short stories that make up the extensive and beloved Port William Membership collection.
